Star Wars Day is celebrated every May 4th around the world. It has become a day for fans of the Star Wars saga and was created as a play on the popular phrase "May the Force be with you", which sounds similar to "May the fourth be with you".
The first time the expression "May the fourth be with you" was used to refer to Star Wars Day was in 1979, when Margaret Thatcher became Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and her party took out an advertisement in The London Evening News that read: "May the fourth be with you, Maggie. Congratulations. Since then, the date has become a day to celebrate the Star Wars saga and is celebrated around the world with themed events, promotions and activities.
Yes, yes. At Cerdá Group every 4th of May we celebrate #STARWARSDAY. It is amazing to see how the whole team gets involved in this day and makes it unique. Last year, our offices and logistics centre were filled with characters from the saga. And together they managed to give Master Thibault Skywalker his lightsaber.
