Life’s little changes that save lives: a blood donation day with the Blood Transfusion Centre of the Valencian Community

Written by Cerdá Group | May 13, 2026 10:13:58 AM

This month, we have taken another step forward in our commitment to sustainability and positive social impact. In collaboration with the Blood Transfusion Centre of the Valencian Community, we organised a blood donation day at our facilities during working hours, making it easier for our team to take part in a solidarity initiative that shows how small gestures can generate great change. Because at our company, we firmly believe that life’s little changes can also save lives.

1. Sustainability through people

When we talk about sustainability, we are not only referring to caring for the environment, but also to our social commitment. We believe that companies play a key role in building a more supportive and responsible society. This blood donation day was born precisely from that vision: putting people at the centre and generating a real positive impact in our closest environment.

2.  A collaboration with impact: Blood Transfusion Centre of the Valencian Community

To carry out this initiative, we collaborated with the Blood Transfusion Centre of the Valencian Community, a leading organisation in promoting blood donation and responding to health and social needs. Their team came to our facilities with all the necessary resources to ensure a safe, professional and accessible process, making it possible for donations to take place in a comfortable and trustworthy environment.

3. Donating blood at work: making participation easier

One of the main objectives of this initiative was to remove barriers. For this reason, the donation day was organised during working hours, allowing anyone interested to donate without having to travel or give up their personal time. This small change in the daily routine is a clear example of how companies can encourage active participation in solidarity actions.

4. Team involvement and response

The response from the team was very positive. Many colleagues were encouraged to participate, some donating for the first time and others repeating an experience that is already part of their personal commitment. Beyond the numbers, the most valuable aspect was the atmosphere of collaboration, pride and shared awareness that was created throughout the day.

5. Small changes, great results

Donating blood is a simple gesture that can make a difference for many people. This initiative shows that major actions are not always needed to create impact: sometimes, making the path easier is enough. Life’s little changes perfectly sums up the spirit of this day, in which a small individual gesture becomes a major collective benefit.

As a company, we will continue to promote actions that strengthen our commitment to social sustainability and people’s well-being. Thank you to the Blood Transfusion Centre of the Valencian Community for their collaboration and to the entire team for showing, once again, that small everyday changes can help build a better future. Because we believe in actions that matter and in the power of life’s little changes.
