Artesanía Cerdá obtains 'GREAT PLACE TO WORK' certification

Currently only 150 Spanish companies have this certificate and Artesanía Cerdá is one of them. This certification proves that Cerdá is one of the Best Companies to Work For in Spain, with a highly trusted culture, able to attract and retain talent.

At Artesanía Cerdá, because of the atmosphere in the office and the attitude of the team that works hard to ensure that projects move forward, we had a good feeling. But when it is announced by the consulting firm that has been working with companies worldwide for over 30 years to identify the best ones to work for, that is a whole other level.

Origin and trajectory

Artesanía Cerdá is a family business created by Pepe Cerdá in 1972. With the involvement of the second generation in the business activity, 25 years ago, a family protocol was launched in order to guarantee the future of the company. Today, with a presence in more than 36 countries and with 75% of turnover coming from exports, Artesania Cerdá is an example of business professionalisation and is consolidated as a trusted partner of many companies across Europe.

We could not be happier about this certification. At Artesania Cerdá we are certain about one thing: the company is as good as the team that composes it. After a diagnosis of the organisational environment, which includes a global questionnaire of employees, the following was highlighted:

  • The personal, equal and close relationship that exists within the company together with working conditions, flexibility of hours and remote working.
  • 96% of the team say that Artesanía Cerdá is an excellent place to work.
  •  99% say that they are treated equally regardless of age, race, sex and sexual orientation.

Examination with grade

In particular, the results of the survey reveal, among other topics, the professionals' particular appreciation of the pleasant and familiar work environment, the values of the company and the feeling of pride when talking about their work. There is also the treatment received regardless of their position in the company.

People and Talent 

Among the main HR strategies implemented by Artesanía Cerdá, it is worth highlighting its work to promote the professional development of its collaborators based on training plans; reconcile work and family, through the stable implementation of remote working, encourage trust within the team through a corporate culture based on feedback and continue the corporate equality plan. The workforce currently consists of 49% women and 51% men.
