They dedicate themselves to helping animals that have been abandoned, mistreated, or in need of medical attention. They often rescue animals from dangerous or unhealthy situations, provide medical care, and rehabilitate them so that they can be adopted by loving homes. Despite tirelessly working to help animals in need, they often do not receive enough support or resources to help the animals that need it. In Spain, 49% of dogs collected in shelters are successfully adopted, 20% remain there, and 15% are reunited with their original owners thanks to microchips. Many people think that there are more urgent problems to address before worrying about animals. But this should not be an excuse to ignore animal suffering and not provide them with the help they need. ### 2. A day full of love On October 4th, on the occasion of World Animal Day, Cerdá Group launched a fundraising campaign for the animal shelter Ribercan. We pledged to donate 3% of the value generated from wholesale orders of our For Fan Pets pet line from October 4th to October 20th. Want to adopt? There are many reasons why adopting a pet can be a great decision, you may already know them, but we would love to remind you: 1. Pets can provide great companionship. For people who live alone or have health problems, the company of an animal can be very comforting. 2. Pets are known for their unconditional love towards their owners. Dogs and cats, in particular, are very loyal and can be a great source of love and support. 3. Having a pet can help improve mental health. Studies have shown that pets can reduce stress, anxiety, and depression in their owners. 4. Dogs need to be walked daily and played with actively. Adopting a dog can motivate you to exercise more. 5. Having a pet involves great responsibility. Children can learn important care and responsibility skills by taking care of a pet. 6. Caring for a pet can give a sense of purpose and meaning to life. Pets require daily attention, love, and care, which can help people feel more useful and needed. 7. Adopting a pet can be more cost-effective than buying one from a breeder or pet store. Additionally, many animal rescue organizations offer free or low-cost spaying and neutering services. 8. By adopting a pet, you are helping to save a life. Animal shelters are full of animals in need of loving homes, and adopting one of these animals can make a difference. In summary, adopting a pet can have many benefits, such as providing companionship, unconditional love, improving mental health, encouraging exercise, learning responsibility, and giving a sense of purpose. It can also be a cost-effective option and help save lives. If you're not ready to adopt a pet, you can still contribute by making any type of donation to associations like Ribercan.
