Since 2002, ISO 9001 has become a benchmark for quality worldwide, achieving more than one million certified companies. This standard is focused on the search for quality in a company by implementing a Quality Management System. The ISO 9001 certificate certifies that a company is capable of satisfying customer requirements. This certificate is the most common and best recognised globally.
With ISO 14001 (Environmental Management Systems standard) companies can demonstrate their commitment to environmental protection.

In product testing, consumers evaluate a product so that organisations can find out how well it is accepted. This type of testing is very important because it allows us to know the impressions of the product and to make changes if necessary.
The carbon footprint represents the total volume of greenhouse gases produced by the economic and daily activities of human beings. That is why the resources we consume at Cerdá come from renewable energies (geothermal air conditioning and photovoltaic energy) so that our carbon footprint has the lowest possible impact.
We have prepared the Sustainability Report 2021, which brings together in an integrated way data on our commitments to our stakeholders, society and the environment, as well as information on our economic and financial performance.
The Report includes the most outstanding actions in terms of Sustainability that have been developed by Cerdá Group during 2021 and in the different dimensions, using a series of qualitative and quantitative indicators to evaluate them.
Aware that we can be part of the solution to global challenges, at Cerdá we base our sustainability strategy on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set by the UN.
Currently only 150 Spanish companies have this certificate and Cerdá Group is one of them. This certification certifies that Cerdá is one of the Best Companies to Work For in Spain, with a culture of high trust, capable of attracting and retaining talent.
We couldn't be happier about the certification. We are very clear about one thing: the company is only as good as the team that makes it up.

The code of ethics (Amfori BSCI) is a private, non-governmental and non-profit initiative at European level. Its mission is to improve working conditions in the supply chain.
The BSCI Code is not only composed of members of the supply chain, but also involves external auditing and consulting companies to ensure compliance with its standards.
The Walt Disney Company is not only concerned about the final product, but about the entire production chain. That is why all companies that produce Disney products must first obtain the FAMA Certificate. In this way, the company makes sure that all Disney products have the same quality and that the factories are concerned about and take measures for the care of the environment and their workers.
On 1 January 2019, the German law Verpack G came into force. The purpose of this law is to reduce the environmental impact of waste and pollution from packaging. It applies to all companies and online sellers shipping to Germany. To comply with this law, it is necessary to register with LUCID and indicate all information regarding the manufacturer or trader, the company and the products, together with the materials used for their packaging or wrapping.
Companies are responsible for the waste generated by their packaged products. Before 28 February each year, they must report to the Extended Producer Responsibility Collective System (SCRAP) of which they are part, in this case Ecoembes, on the packaging placed on the market the previous year by means of the Packaging Declaration.
The Annual Waste Declaration certificate is a document required by some countries or local authorities to track the generation and management of waste in a particular region. The certificate is usually issued annually and contains information on the types and quantities of waste generated and disposed of by a particular facility or organisation.
Its purpose is to monitor the waste management practices of facilities and organisations and to ensure that they comply with local and national waste management regulations. This information helps governments and regulators to monitor the effectiveness of their waste management policies and to identify areas for improvement.
It usually includes information on the type of waste generated, such as household waste, hazardous waste or e-waste. It may also include information on the methods used to manage the waste, such as recycling, composting or landfill disposal.
Facilities and organisations that are required to issue an Annual Waste Declaration certificate must keep accurate records of their waste generation and management practices, and must submit the certificate to the relevant authorities within a specified timeframe. Failure to comply with the Annual Waste Declaration certificate requirements may result in fines or other penalties.
By March 2023, all companies exporting to France must comply with the new French packaging law by marking products and packaging sold there with the Triman and Info-Tri logo. The main reason is that with this symbol, consumers understand better how to sort their waste.
At Cerdá, we have already taken action and all our products that are exported to France already have this identifying element.
The Moebius Certificate is an environmental certification system used in Italy to recognise and promote companies that have achieved high levels of sustainability and environmental performance. The certification was created by the Moebius Institute, an Italian non-profit organisation that focuses on sustainability and environmental issues.
To receive this certification, companies must demonstrate their commitment to environmental sustainability through a rigorous assessment process. The assessment covers a range of environmental issues, such as waste management, energy consumption, water consumption, emissions and the use of hazardous substances. Companies must also demonstrate that they have implemented policies and practices that reduce their environmental impact and that they are continuously working to improve their sustainability performance.
The Moebius Certificate is a valuable tool for companies that want to improve their environmental performance and communicate their commitment to sustainability to their stakeholders, including customers, employees and investors. It is also a valuable resource for consumers and other stakeholders seeking environmentally friendly products and services.
By receiving it, companies demonstrate their commitment to reducing their environmental impact and promoting sustainability, and receive recognition for their efforts to create a more sustainable future.
As of 1 January 2023, the plastic tax will come into force in Spain. The aim is to reduce the use of this material, which is so harmful to our planet. The price of the new tax in 2023 will be set according to the amount of non-reusable plastic contained in the products included in the regulation. Specifically 45 cents per kilogram of weight.
This tool allows us to study the environmental impact of the life cycle of our products, from their origin until they end up as waste. In this way we can make decisions about the composition of our products, thus reducing our impact on the environment.
